Reporting to the Practice Manager, Service Asset & Configuration Management, this position is a part of the recently established Enterprise IT Service Management Organisation.
Position Summary:
Enterprise Asset & Configuration Management tasks are performed by the IT Asset Management Analyst.
Job Responsibilities:
This position entails the following duties, albeit they are not exclusive to:
Make sure vendor Advance Shipping Notice files are treated correctly.
Process generic requests to build or update assets and/or the CMDB, as well as tickets that have been logged and assigned to the enterprise Asset & Configuration Management queue.
Make that Service Now's Asset and Configuration models are kept up to date.
In ServiceNow, build and verify asset and configuration item records as part of merger and acquisition projects. To guarantee the accuracy of asset and configuration information, collaborate with Asset Management Specialists linked with the hub.
Incorporate new infrastructure devices—such as UPSs, printers, AVIs, and other devices—into the CMDB, making sure that every detail is appropriately documented.
Help with the handling of asset and configuration requests related to office closure (transfer assets, update status, update Cis, etc.).
Find and fix disparities in assets and configurations by conducting data analysis. Keep an eye on asset connectors to make that ServiceNow's Cis and asset data are updated appropriately.
Verify that accurate asset-to-configuration item creation is taking place.
To find and fix missing data records, collaborate with asset management teams that are linked with the hub.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
a standard ITIL qualification that includes a thorough comprehension of the ITIL framework and the ability to implement ITIL principles within an IT service management context. strong familiarity with and understanding of ServiceNow. zeal and commitment to promote ongoing development and/or change. outstanding documentation, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills. Process- and detail-oriented, employing a deliberate and systematic strategy to reach objectives.
Capability to swiftly win over coworkers and the organisation by establishing productive working connections and demonstrating strong communication and persuasion abilities
. Embrace change, be at ease with uncertainty, and foster a cooperative mindset. Serve as an internal and external spokesman for the IT organisation.
Preferred:
an information technology bachelor's degree or a similar degree.
